Craxolment

The Craxolment Story

From a simple idea to transforming how people experience floral beauty at their most important moments

Spring 2019

The Beginning: A Frustrated Bride's Vision

Our founder Kestrel Vox was planning her sister's wedding when she hit a wall. Every florist wanted the family to come to them, coordinate pickup times, worry about wilting arrangements during transport. "Why can't beautiful flowers come to us when we need them?" she asked. That question wouldn't leave her alone.

After watching her sister stress about flowers instead of enjoying her engagement, Kestrel knew something had to change. She started with a beat-up van, a cooler system she built herself, and three local flower suppliers who thought she was crazy. But she wasn't trying to revolutionize anything – she just wanted to solve one really annoying problem.

2021-2024

Growing Pains and Real Learning

The early days were honestly pretty messy. We showed up late to events because Baku traffic is unpredictable. We had arrangements fall apart because our cooling system failed during a July heatwave. One time we delivered completely wrong flowers to a corporate event – thankfully the client laughed about it, but we were mortified.

Each mistake taught us something crucial though. We learned that timing isn't just about being on schedule – it's about understanding the rhythm of each event. We figured out that different flowers need different care during transport. Most importantly, we discovered that our clients weren't just buying flowers – they were buying peace of mind during their most important moments.

2025 & Beyond

What We're Building Today

Now we're not the same scrappy startup. We have three climate-controlled vehicles, partnerships with growers across Azerbaijan, and a team that actually knows what they're doing. But we still get excited about solving that original problem – bringing beautiful flowers to people exactly when and where they need them.

What's next? We're working on extending our service area beyond Baku by late 2025. Not because we want to be the biggest, but because we keep getting calls from families in other cities who have the same frustrations we started with. Sometimes the best business growth happens when you just keep solving the same problem for more people.

The People Behind the Petals

Meet the two women who turned a wedding frustration into a business that actually helps people

Kestrel Vox

Founder & Creative Director

Before Craxolment, Kestrel worked in logistics for a shipping company – which explains why she's obsessed with on-time delivery. She still drives our van to important events because she says "you can't delegate caring." Her sister's wedding turned out beautiful, by the way.

Indira Frost

Operations Director

Indira joined us in 2022 after managing events for a Baku hotel. She's the one who figured out our cooling systems and supplier relationships. When clients call with last-minute changes, Indira somehow makes impossible timelines work. We honestly don't know how she does it.

Still Solving the Same Problem

We're not trying to change the world or disrupt entire industries. We just want to keep making it easier for people to have beautiful flowers at their important moments without the stress and logistics headaches. That's been our focus since day one, and it's what gets us up in the morning.
